About Us

Clinical expertise.

Real-world impact

Built for those that systems overlook

We exist to build capacity, stabilise risk and create clear, lasting change.

Our Values

The principles that guide how we show up for people, services, and the systems meant to support them.

Trust-centred practice

Progress grows where trust is built through consistency, clarity, and respect.

Integrated clinical understanding

We consider the full emotional, psychological, physical, and systemic context.

Steadiness in complexity

We remain grounded and structured in high- pressure environments

Respect for underrepresented

We prioritise dignity where experiences have historically been overlooked.

Original, Evidence-Built, Humanly Designed

A 15-year, ground-up framework shaped by lived experience and clinical rigour, built to fill a gap the system didn’t know how to name.

Regulation Before Expectation

We stabilise the brain first by following a clear sequence, Regulate → Build Capacity → Integrate, so change is safe and sustainable.

Respect for underrepresented voices

We prioritise dignity where experiences have historically been overlooked.

Courage in complexity

We engage thoughtfully with difficult situations without retreat.

Stability first

Stability is not the outcome - it is the foundation

Steadiness in complexity

We remain grounded and structured in high- pressure environments

Who We Are

SAMMs exists to support people, teams, and systems when situations feel uncertain, demanding, or difficult to navigate, particularly where complex and intersecting needs are present.

Our work spans trauma, addiction, justice involvement, psychosocial complexity, homelessness, and long-term disadvantage. We integrate lived experience, clinical insight, and operational clarity to create the conditions where stability can emerge and engagement becomes possible.

At the heart of SAMMs is a simple sequencing principle: stability before capacity. When people feel safe, supported, and understood, growth becomes sustainable.

The People Behind SAMMs

SAMMs is led by CEO Sharon Mamo, whose career spans decades across therapeutic communities, justice environments, and complex frontline settings. Her leadership reflects lived experience, reform advocacy, and structured clinical sequencing.

Executive Clinical Leadership is provided by Montana Nicoloutsopoulos, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, recognised for expertise in risk governance, competency, supervision, and program development.

Together, they shape a model grounded in lived experience, clinical governance, and cross-sector reform.

Our Mission

To create stability where systems and lives feel uncertain, strengthening trust, safety, structured engagement, and meaningful participation across sectors.
